Export Sales Executive - Halifax

This role involves managing existing accounts and developing new business, with an emphasis on proactively identifying sales opportunities. It would suit a candidate who has experience of Export sales and a drive to engage with prospective customers. Good organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail are required, as well as an interest in Export administration and documentation.


- Maintain and develop existing Export accounts

- Identify and generate new business sales opportunities

- Actively participate in sales proactivity under the guidance of the branch manager

- Deal with incoming enquiries to complete all aspects of the order process, including Export documentation

- Provide regular feedback on sales performance and market trends

- Develop a thorough understanding of customer requirements on a business and technical level


- Experience of sales within the Export B2B environment, preferably within the metal stockholding industry

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Ability to think strategically and proactively identify new opportunities

- A demonstrable record of success in growing Export business

The successful applicant will ideally have a background in selling copper and nickel alloys. A demonstrable track record of success within the B2B environment would be an advantage.

Sales Administrator – Halifax (part time)

This role involves taking responsibility for all UK and Export administrative functions within the branch including order processing, despatch paperwork and liaison with freight companies. It would suit an individual with strong organisational and time management skills coupled with excellent attention to detail.


- Update internal computer system with order details and documentation

- Prepare invoices, delivery notes and purchase orders

- Take responsibility for the preparation of transfer documentation

- Act as a point of contact with courier and freight companies while preparing the necessary paperwork

- Liaise with the warehouse to keep accurate records of stock levels

- Contact customers when required to provide updates on order status and respond to queries

- Maintain high standards of administrative accuracy


- Experience of Export administration in a B2B sales environment

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail

- Willingness to challenge the status quo and improve efficiency of processes

- Good IT literacy including experience of computer systems


9.00 – 2.30 Monday to Friday, including a 30 minutes’ break for lunch
